TWO DAYS FAMILIARIZATION TOUR OF DEPOTS AND JETTIES

Engr. Ayo Cardoso the Zonal Operations Controller, Lagos led a team of Management staff on a two days familiarization tour of various depots and jetties at Ibafon, Kiri-Kiri, Ijegun and Apapa Clusters.

This strategic visit was aimed at enabling the Controller and his team get acquainted with the Out-station staff and Depots owners.
A total of ten (10) depots and one (1) jetty were visited.

The Controller whilst addressing the Depot owners said the strategic objective of him and his team’s visit was to acquaint themselves with the facilities and the challenges faced by the operators and also advise on how best such facilities can be run optimally.
In their responses, the depot owners appreciated the Department for putting sound policies and procedures that aid smooth business operations.

Mr Kunle, the CEO of Africa Terminal listed their challenges as follows:
1. Delay in depot licence renewal
2. Bad roads

The team inspected different sections of the facilities which include: the laboratory, Oil water separator, Loading gantry, Storage tanks, Production pump house, Fixed monitors, CCTV rooms and Central control room. A successful water sprinkler integrity test was conducted at Bovas & Company Ltd.
