The Executive committee, led by the Chairman Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers, Engr. A.B. Oyedepo (FNSE) paid a courtesy visit to the Director DPR on Tuesday 15^th August, 2017 at the DPR Head office in Lagos.

The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers was formed out of the Nigerian Society of Engineers to entrench National and international safety best practices in Nigeria.

The delegation was warmly received by the representative of the Director, Mrs. Onyebuchi C. Sibeudu (Deputy Director) and Head Safety Health & Environment, DPR Top Management Committee members, Heads of Divisions and some DPR senior staff.

The focus of the visit was to strengthen the existing relationship between the DPR and the institution, particularly in ensuring a healthier and safer oil and gas industry. The Committee used the opportunity to appeal for increased membership of the institution by DPR staff. They also asked for participation by DPR in their forthcoming Conference/Annual General Meeting scheduled to hold at Eko Hotels & Suites from the 7^th – 10^th November, 2017.

The Chairman commended the Director, Management and Staff of the DPR for the transparent leadership and very efficient regulation of the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
