DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES (DPR) LONG SERVICE AWARD.

The Department of Petroleum Resources in a low key ceremony honoured staff who attained 10years of meritorious service to the Department. The Director/CEO Engr. Sarki Auwalu MNSE represented by Assistant Director Services, Mr. Abdullahi Aliyu Abawa welcomed all staff to the event. He thanked the almighty God for the gift of life and good health. Engr. Sarki congratulated all staff who qualified for the 10years plaque and wished everybody a beautiful service to the Department.

Engr. Sarki said DPR as a regulatory body of the federal government in the oil and gas industry values its workforce hence the need to appreciate and motivate cannot be over emphasised. He reiterated that human capital is the engine room of every organisation. Event like this was borne out of the strong desire to recognise and appreciate staff who give meritorious service and also to motivate them to contribute more for the betterment of the Department and the country at large.

Mr. Samuel Waplang, Assistant Director Human Resource said: “this gathering is in recognition of our staff who have achieved various milestones.” He said arrangements were made in all Zonal Offices for a similar event.

A minute silence was observed in honour of staff with whom the selfless journey to the service of the Department was started but lost their lives along the way.

The high point of the ceremony was the presentation of plaques to qualified staff and cutting of 10years long service cake.
