KOFI ANNAN INTERNATIONAL PEACEKEEPING TRAINING CENTRE (KAIPTC) DELEGATION VISITS DPR

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) hosted a team from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) Ghana on Thursday 20th February, 2020. The team was on a field research mission towards security enhancement in the maritime environment of the Gulf of Guinea (GOG).

The Director Petroleum Resources, Engr. Auwalu Sarki MNSE who was represented by the Assistant Director, Downstream Monitoring and Regulation, Engr. (Dr.) Akenn S. Musa assured the team of DPR’s readiness to collaborate with in realisation of their objectives.
The Director informed the visitor’s that DPR has invested so much in the area of technology to ensure alleviation of crude oil and other petroleum products theft.

The leader of the delegation, Colonel Albert Ulrich stated that
Nigeria is among seven other countries selected for the research project. He listed the other selected countries as Ghana, Cameroon, Cote D’ivoire, Angola, Benin and Gabon.
